I have long been looking for a new shampoo and conditioner and, I am glad to finally say that I have found one that I love. True Botanicals’ nourishing shampoo and conditioner is exactly what I I have been looking for: it leaves my hair soft and shiny, it has a subtle fresh scent, and on top of it these products are nontoxic and MADE SAFE approved! So, I’m not putting anything unhealthy on my hair or body. I’d say that’s a pretty huge plus.

East Village Eats (and Shops!)
Recently, I have been finding myself exploring the East Village, due to its bounty of restaurants and shops. I find myself drawn to Alphabet City and the surrounding area, because it seems to have so many little-known gems that are just waiting to be discovered. Not to mention, the food seems to be delicious and more reasonably priced in this neighborhood. That is, for the most part…
Places to Eat: C&B
While C&B is a simple café, the food is anything but. This no frills, cozy restaurant serves some of the most delicious and interesting casual food that I have yet to find in NYC. The interior has a hominess and chicness that welcomes you the moment you walk in. As you mull over the menu, you can enjoy watching the chefs passionately prepare their unique creations. If you look just ahead, you will see a barista or two quickly creating their concoctions on demand. Behind them, lies a small seating area with an array of wooden and marble tables. Note that the tables are first come first serve. There is no service at this hidden gem: you order at the counter, seat yourself, and clear your own dishes. But who needs those extra amenities when the food is this good? Not I.
NYC Treasures
As someone who loves books and old libraries, I have been meaning to go to the NYC Public Library for ages. I am glad to say, I finally made it! Not to mention, I chose the best time because it coincided with the Bryant Park Holiday Market.
Kate’s Wedding !!
On September 2nd, my sister married a man that I am lucky enough to now call family! They had a gorgeous wedding at Handsome Hollow, a venue in upstate New York. It felt surreal getting ready with my sister, and watching her and her husband make lifelong vows to each other. Here are some of the photos shot by the AMAZING photographers Bayly & Moore. Seriously… if you need a photographer, give them a call.
Back From a Hiatus…
After a long hiatus due to moving to a new apartment and finding a new job, I am back on my blog! It feels good to be back writing…
Cloudy Day
After getting brunch with a friend, we decided to go for a little walk. I love the occasional overcast day during the summer because it offers a break from the heat and a day to take it easy.
