MetFridays (and Saturdays!)

Receiving a Met membership for christmas this year, gave me the perfect excuse to finally sit down and explore all that the museum has to offer. The best thing I learned? On every Friday and Saturday, there is live music and special events that you can enjoy until 9PM.

Since yesterday was such a dreary day, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to explore the Met on MetFriday. C and I went up to the second floor balcony, ordered drinks and a snack, and listened to the incredible live band. It was a blast catching up wit him while we listened to great music and were sitting in a very beautiful setting.

Afterwards, we walked around and explored random exhibits that we stumbled upon. Sometimes it’s fun to just see where life takes you…quite literally. Unfortunately, 9PM rolled around too quickly, and we didn’t get to see as much as I was hoping we would. I have been told that the Hockney, Rodin, and Michelangelo exhibits are supposed to be fantastic and I can’t wait to go back and see them.

Note: one of the best aspects of the Met is that you pay as much as you’d like to enter the museum. So pricing won’t keep you out. You can spend very little and see as much as you want!
