Kate’s Wedding !!

On September 2nd, my sister married a man that I am lucky enough to now call family! They had a gorgeous wedding at Handsome Hollow, a venue in upstate New York. It felt surreal getting ready with my sister, and watching her and her husband make lifelong vows to each other. Here are some of the photos shot by the AMAZING photographers Bayly & Moore. Seriously… if you need a photographer, give them a call.

My lovely sister and her husband…

aren’t they the cutest?

The venue my sister and her husband selected was absolutely perfect. Even though it was the beginning of September, it felt like a perfect fall day. The air was crisp, but not too cold. They got married outside, in a clearing in the woods. Then, they had a cocktail hour outdoors on a porch, and a reception inside a rustic, but elegant barn. The wedding was stunning. Huge round of applause to my mom who pretty much planned the entire event!

My sister wore a dress from Rebecca Schoneveld, which looked stunning on her. I loved going dress shopping with her and seeing her try on all the different styles. I was thrilled that this was the dress she ultimately selected, because it is understated and beautiful. I always love simple, elegant clothes!

Upstyle did our hair and make-up for the wedding. They were amazing because they made our make-up look more natural, and not like it was caked on our faces. I hate it when you can see all the make up on my face and it looks like there is powder stuck to it. I thought they did an amazing job highlighting people’s natural features and subtly enhancing them. I have always loved the natural look, so I thought they were incredible!

I loved seeing all of my family and friends, who traveled far (some from Paris!) to see my sister get married. It was so much fun catching up with everyone while we all sipped on delicious cocktails and treated ourselves to the delicious food. But, most of all it was fun to celebrate my sister and her husband who met in college and have been dating for years! Since I was the made-of-honor, I got to write a speech and share my memories of Kate and Andrew. It made me miss the days when my siblings and I were kids and Kate would always have us watch romance movies. I will never forget all the times we watched Titanic and Moulin Rouge together, and Kate would always share her hopelessly romantic dreams. It has been amazing to watch those dreams come true!

This last photo is one of me and my boyfriend. We couldn’t help but ask the photographers to take a few photos of us… 🙂

Photographs are all by Bayly & Moore. They are truly amazing photographers.
